Just desserts
You're really reaching with your Oct. 29 cover piece about three students who were very briefly detained while trying to cross the US border. The description of the actions of the American border patrol as "racist" and "fascist" are over the top. Let's look at the three occupants of the car in question for the moment. They're carrying pro-terrorist literature, dressed in Muslim clothing, listening to Arabic music and have other assorted suspect items. Let's remember what happened here, 5000 innocent people were murdered for the crime of going to work. Under these circumstances we should be thankful for the increased vigilance at the border. Given the tone the "victims" use in describing the incident I have very little doubt that their attitude was both unpleasant and uncooperative. Indeed their description of the situation and their lame excuse for deciding to cross the border (not being able to find the spot where the terrorist-supporting traitor Sunera Thobani was to speak) suggests to me that they sought to create a confrontation with American authorities. It's really indicative of the pro-terrorist anti-American mentality of your paper that you have spent far more time showing sympathy to three people who were inconvenienced for three hours than you have for those murdered by Al-Qaeda fanatics.
