Students wins prize for Kraft dinner recipe
NEW JERSEY - Here at Kraft's corporate headquarters, a surprised students has just won one million dollars. "I'm really not too sure what's going on," said Angelica Foodcake, 21. "All I know is that I spilled beer on my kraft dinner while I was watching Ally McBeal, and suddenly I have a million dollars. But that's cool!" Kraft had been holding a recipe contest to find new and inventive ways to use its product. However, facing a sorry lack of entries, they got the novel idea to get a list of college students and have repres-entatives go door-to-door to see what ideas people might already be using. "We were really surprised by Foodcake's novel new idea," says Korprat Type, a Kraft representative. "Beer is commonly thought of as a pretty low-class thing, yet it's heady top notes of yeast complement the subtle base notes of hops and barley especially well. And it's a readily available item for most students, except those little Doogie Howser types." - AP [ Back to issue 13 ] [ Send The Peak a comment on this story ] The contents of The Peak are protected by copyright.
